The main emphasis at the practice is to encourage long term oral health, this means attending the practice on a regular basis for examinations and hygiene sessions.
Dental Health Check
When attending the practice for your regular dental health check we will check the health of your teeth and gums, your existing restorations and your soft tissue areas. We will also take x-rays and undertake an oral cancer screening. We will take this opportunity to talk you through our smile menu and ensure you have as much information as possible on your treatment options.
It is important to have a professional clean and polish of your teeth on a regular basis. This treatment removes calculus (tartar) from your teeth. If this is not done regularly plaque will build up and can eventually lead to gum disease. We can also advise you on good oral hygiene products and techniques.
This treatment is quick, easy and you will feel more comfortable and relaxed than with traditional applications. This treatment is very popular with our patients and we can recommend it as a way of extensively cleaning your teeth. A high pressure jet with a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and lemon is used to remove stains and thorough clean your teeth. Your mouth will feel cleaner and totally refreshed.
Gum Disease Treatment (Periodontics)
Gum disease may not be serious if it is identified and treated in the early stages. The key is to treat gum disease and ensure that your gums are returned to a healthy condition.
